MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Cara Devine

Cara Devine has worked in the hospitality industry since the age of 16, and has had a real focus on the bartending side of things for the past 10 years. She has worked in a variety of hospitality venues around the globe, from serious high end cocktail bars to fun and relaxed rum joints, constantly honing her techniques and knowledge. Training is so important, and Cara has had the opportunity to work alongside some excellent industry mentors, and in turn move into positions of seniority where she is responsible for creating and running training programmes for bar staff. She currently manages a busy Spanish style rooftop bar, and is passionate about great drinks and even better service. 

She is also one third and the face of YouTube channel ‘Behind the Bar’, which is a labour of love between herself, filmmaker (and generally multi talented man!) Josh Moore, and chef/restaurateur Jesse Gerner. All three love good food and booze, and are on a mission to explore and demystify the world of alcohol and cocktails. We believe in making simple and delicious drinks, knowing your stuff, and being a great host - and want to help you do the same!
